Diaz named among 12 ‘Fun Fearless Latinas’

University of Nevada, Reno student and former Carson High School student Shirley Diaz has been named one of 12 “Fun Fearless Latinas” in Cosmopolitan for Latinas magazine. Diaz, a graduate student in economics and co-founder of DreamGirls International Outreach and Mentoring Program, is the reader winner and will be named an “Honorary Covergirl” for Covergirl cosmetics at the May luncheon to be held at the Hearst headquarters in New York City.

“I am honored to be included in a group of such amazing and inspiring Latina women and role models” stated Diaz upon the release of the full list. Diaz is currently preparing for the upcoming finals week and graduation happening next month.
