Organizations and individuals from northern Nevada who were recognized during the annual awards program of the Nevada Chapter of the American Planning Association included:
Professional Planner Award: Theresa Avance, a senior planner with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and Candace Stowell, a planning consultant in Carson City.
Elected Official: Oscar Delgado of the Reno City Council.
Citizen Planner: Shannon Eckmeyer of the League to Save Lake Tahoe, who worked as a volunteer on two working groups that updated the Tahoe Regional Plan.
2013 Outstanding Plan for an Individual Project Award: Stantec and the Virginia Streetscape Enhancement Project and Visitors Welcome Center.
2013 Outstanding Public Outreach and Journalism Award: RTC Washoe County 2035 Regional Transportation Plan.
2013 Outstanding Cultural or Environmental Plan Award: Lake Tahoe Regional Plan Update.
