Library hosting food drive

The Carson City Library is hosting a food drive to benefit the Ron Wood Family Resource Center through Nov. 27.

Donors can provide six full-size food items, canned or packaged, to enter a drawing to win four movie passes to Galaxy Theatre.

Preferred items include ravioli, stews, soups, tuna, peanut butter, cereal, rice, pasta, dried beans, fruit cups, dried fruit such as raisins, plums and cranberries, apple sauce and 100 percent juice boxes. Child-friendly items such as fat-free pudding cups, granola bars, popcorn, graham or animal crackers, and baby products also are sought.

Items must be non-perishable and must not be expired. Glass containers are not permitted.
