Virginia City’s C Street earns designation

The American Planning Association ranked Virginia City’s C Street as one of 10 Great Streets for 2013.

Each year during National Community Planning Month, APA’s Great Places in America program names 30 streets, neighborhoods and public spaces to highlight how planning can “add value to communities, including fostering economic growth and jobs.”

“C Street captures the look, feel and sound of the Old-West, from its ‘false-front’ buildings and gas-lit street lamps, to its swinging saloon doors and wood-planked walkways,” APA Chief Executive Officer Paul Farmer said in a news release.
