SPARKS — Four men from the Carson City-Minden area have been arrested after gunshots were fired during a fight at a Sparks bar over the weekend.
Police say the four were booked Saturday night on suspicion of simple battery and provoking an assault at The Alley Bar on Victorian Avenue.
Investigators say they beat another man who had told them to clean up their behavior after one made an inappropriate comment to a female friend.
Police responded just before 10 p.m. when the victim says he fired a gun to try to scare off his attackers. When police arrived, he was being punched and kicked by several people. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects are 24-year-old Eric Cooper, 28-year-old Cody York, 28-year-old Michael Griffin and 58-year-old Stanley Griffin.
