1 killed in bank robbery in Reno

RENO — One person is dead following a bank robbery in south Reno.

Police say a person believed to be a patron at the Bank of America branch on South Virginia Street was shot and killed during the holdup that unfolded around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Reno police say the suspect fled toward Meadowood Mall but was captured a short time later.

Details were not immediately available and names of those involved were not immediately released.
