Today’s GOP a mockery of yesteryear’s greats

Hear ye! Hear ye! Abandon ship all sane Republicans. Today’s GOP, hijacked by the wacko Tea Party, financed by selfish plutocrats like the Koch brothers, and led astray by inane Sen. Cruz, is sabotaging democracy to make America an oligarchy. Past great GOP statesmen (Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Eisenhower) are rolling in their graves. Lincoln fought to make all men equal. T. Roosevelt called for trust busting and progressive reforms for the common citizen. Eisenhower defended labor laws, built interstate highways (socialism) and funded education. Even Reagan raised taxes many times.

But now, so-called “Republicans” (actually shills) are against all of this and shutdown government. They claim the president must negotiate, but it’s just about defunding Obamacare even though it’s law of the land, upheld by the Supreme Court. This is not negotiable! As Justice Scalia said of the 2000 election: “Get over it!” But no, the House brought up Obamacare 44 times rather than doing the people’s business, especially creating jobs.

Einstein said doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity. Many say both parties are equally to blame. True long ago, but not now, as “Republicans” have drunk the “Kool-Aid” and hopped onto the “crazy train.” It’s imperative — for the sake of America and democracy — that these Republican shills are replaced with progressive, sensible, responsible statesmen who sincerely care for the people they represent.
