Health inspections: La Fiesta scores 100 points

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Oct. 17. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

La Fiesta Restaurant, 1939 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Beijing Palace, 4250 Cochise St., 99 points. A garbage storage concrete pad was dirty with grease and soil, and a waste grease barrel was covered with grease.

Carson Plaza, 2120 E. Long St., 99 points. Condiments on the cook line were not properly labeled.

Mustang Sallie’s Deuce’s Grill, 420 N. Carson St., 99 points. The areas under and around the baking oven were dirty.

Panda Kitchen, 1986 U.S. Highway 50 E., 98 points. Pipes under the wok cooker were dirty with grease. Garbage storage container lids were open.

El Torito Super Mercado, grocery, 304 E. Winnie Lane, Suite 308, 96 points. All salsas, ice creams, baked goods and cheeses were not labeled and dated properly. There was no proof of a certified food handler on duty.

Arco ampm, 4340 N. Carson St., 94 points. The food-preparation hand wash sink was blocked by cases of soft drinks. The lights in the soft drink mix box storage room were burned out.

El Torito Super Mercado, bakery, 304 E. Winnie Lane, Suite 308, 94 points. No ingredients were provided for the baked goods produced by the bakery. The side of the oven was caked with grease. The electric cook top was dirty. There was no proof of a certified food handler on duty.

Tito’s Restaurant, 444 E. William St., 92 points. The dishwasher discharge pipe extended below the floor surface into the floor sink drain. Food stored in the refrigerators and freezers were not properly dated and labeled. Food stored in bulk storage containers were not labeled. Eggs were stored above meats in the walk-in refrigerator. The waste storage concrete pad was dirty from an overflow of waste grease from the grease barrel.
