The Lodge Assisted Living Community will host its monthly Senior Mingle from 2-4 p.m. Thursday.
All local seniors are invited to attend, which features entertainment, refreshments and a raffle.
This month, guests are asked to bring a new pair of athletic shoes to donate as part of the Lodge’s annual SOLEmates Shoe Drive.
The shoes will be donated to the Carson City School District’s McKinney/Vento Children in Transition program.
The grant and donation funded program helps to provide shoes, clothing, hygiene products and school supplies to students who lack a fixed living situation.
The Lodge hosts monthly mingles as a way to help local seniors stay active and make new friends.
Reservations are appreciated, and can be made by calling 775-583-8192. The event is free.
