Carson City health inspections for April 10

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for April 10. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Artisan Bakeworks & Cafe, caterer, 701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Charley’s Grilled Subs, 1304 S. Stewart St., 100 points.

Dairy Queen, 3198 E. Highway 50, 100 points.

Dream Dinners, 135 Clearview Drive, Suite 123, 100 points.

High Desert Botanicals, 2435 Scotch Pine Drive, 100 points.

Michoacan Restaurant, 557 S. Saliman Road, 100 points.

Artisan Bakeworks & Cafe, restaurant, 701 S. Carson St., 99 points. A mop sink hose attachment was not properly stored.

Foodmart, 1102 N. Carson St., 99 points. Ice for sale was not labeled as to where it was produced and packaged.

Q’s Steaks, Barbecue & Salads, 230 Fairview Drive, 98 points. The silicone caulk seals at the hand wash and three-compartment sinks needed to be repaired and replaced. Wiping cloths were out of the sanitizer buckets and without a sanitizer residual.

Fairview Food Mart, 1501 Fairveiw Drive, Suite 4, 97 points. Ice was for sale without an acknowledgement of where it was produced and packaged. Ice cream was in the ice cream storage freezer without any label or ingredients. A freezer was holding a temperature of 30 degrees. (All freezers must operate at zero degrees or below.)

La Enchilada, mobile food vehicle, 95 points. Storage area cabinets were dirty. The work area floor of the truck was damaged and needed replacement due to rust and corrosion. There was no certified food handler on duty.

Arco am/pm, 4340 N. Carson St., 95 points. The employee hand wash sink was blocked by storage boxes. Burned-out florescent light bulbs were in the work area, and some florescent light bulbs were not covered with a protective shield in the food preparation area.
