A Fallon man missing since July 25 was found dead today about three miles northwest of Powerline Road.
Howard Shell had been missing since late July, but a horseback rider encountered him on the following day.
Since that time Sheriff Ben Trotter said the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office had launched numerous searches in the desert for Shell.
Trotter said Shell was found by a jogger and her dog while they were out exercising. The sheriff said there were no obvious signs of foul play at the scene. An autopsy is pending.
