The contractors licenses of a related group of companies in Carson City have been revoked by the Nevada State Contractors Board.
The board revoked the licenses of Equivest Services EIS Ltd. and Capital Fire Protection after finding the companies completed substandard workmanship, failed to obtain a building permit and failed to establish financial responsibility.
The companies also were fined $6,750 and assessed investigative costs.
In other disciplinary action involving northern Nevada contractors, the state board:
Reduced the license limit of James V. Sheehan, a residential and small commercial contractor in Reno, after finding he contracted with an unlicensed person.
Ordered Reno Heating & Air to provide a current financial statement after finding the company failed to establish financial responsibility.
