Northern Nevada PR professionals win Silver Spikes

Weidinger Public Relations of Stateline received the Judge’s Choice Award in the annual awards program sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The firm was recognized for its campaign for the American Century Championship Tahoe Celebrity Golf. The campaign also earned a Silver Spike Award from PRSA.

Others receiving Silver Spike Awards were:

University of Nevada, Reno, Communications for its work to build an online community through social media.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport for its work on an airport disaster drill.

The Nevada Commission on Tourism for a media outreach program in Brazil.

Waste Management of Nevada for audio and visual support of its single-stream recycling program. The campaign also earned a Silver Spike in media relations.

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency for its “Tahoe in Depth” campaign.

The Reynolds School of Journalism at UNR for an infographic about the school.

The Reynolds School of Journalism for a digital graduate program.

The Tahoe Fund’s campaign for a bike path from Incline to Sand Harbor was selected by UNR public relations as their favorite.
