Carson woman arrested for allegedly taking hydrocodone from employer

A 42-year-old Silver Springs woman was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of four felonies — embezzlement, furnishing dangerous drugs without a prescription, possession with intent to sell and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.

According to the man’s arrest report:

A deputy responded about 5:42 p.m. Friday to a report of an embezzlement at a pharmacy. An employee told the deputy that he and other employees had noticed a pattern of a worker consistently ordering hydrocodone pills during her shifts since about August, and that they’d seen Delane Blair on video taking a full bottle of hydrocodone.

Blair acknowledged she’d been taking hydrocodone since about August, and that she took two to three bottles at a time two to three times a week. She estimated that she’d taken 25,000 tablets — a loss to the store of $14,000.

Blair said she’d been having a difficult time financially and that she’d been selling the pills for about $25 a bottle.

Blair’s total bail was set at $32,500. She was no longer in the Carson City Jail on Monday night.
