Sheriff’s Log: Woman, 63, arrested on DUI count outside grocery store

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:

WEDNESDAY

3:22 p.m.: Elizabeth Ann Perry, 63, of Carson City was arrested in the 500 block of East William Street on suspicion of DUI. According to Perry’s arrest report, a caller reported a possibly intoxicated woman was leaving a grocery store. Perry reportedly struck an unoccupied vehicle with her car, and a store manager told the arresting deputy that she’d backed up about 2 feet after he’d told her to put the car in park. Perry reportedly fell against her car when she tried to stand and failed two field sobriety tests. Bail was set at $1,000.

10:48 p.m.: A 22-year-old Minden woman was arrested in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to the woman’s arrest report, a Special Enforcement Team deputy checked her identification at a casino because he thought she looked underage. Bail was set at $215.

8:30 p.m.: A 46-year-old transient was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office was arrested on a contempt-of-court warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $500.

6 p.m.: A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 5600 block of South Carson Street on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant out of Carson City. According to the woman’s arrest report, a Special Enforcement Team deputy recognized her while conducting a business check at a casino and knew about the warrant. Bail was set at $915.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
