Idaho man sought after high-speed car chase

The Nevada Highway Patrol is seeking information on the whereabouts of Geoffry Guess, 26, from Idaho.

According to NHP Trooper Dan Lopez:

NHP troopers were called to assist to locate a subject driving at high speeds from Mono County. During a routine traffic stop in Mono County officers were interviewing the driver outside his vehicle a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, with California registration 6VRP791.

Guess was the passenger in the car during the stop. He jumped into the driver’s seat and sped off entering Nevada at speeds over 100 miles per hour. Attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful. The vehicle was last seen northbound on Interstate 580 north of Bowers Mansion.

Guess is known to resist police officers and considered to be armed and dangerous, and possibly have warrants out for his arrest.
