Marketers recognize year’s top strategies

Eleven marketing campaigns received ACE Awards for excellence in marketing strategy in the annual competition sponsored by the Reno Tahoe Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Winners included:

KPS3: Best in Web and Digital Design for its Valentine’s Day Digital Kissing Booth Web site, which raised $3,700 for two local non-profits.

Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (Penna Powers and Brian Haynes): Best in Mobile for development of “Dash Pass,” which allows customers to wait in a virtual line so that they can arrive when is convenient for them.

Out & About Marketing: Best in Social Media for #Truckeemoments, a campaign for the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce.

Stan Can Design: Best in Print for its Happy Valentine’s Day Cards.

Abbi Agency and Biggest Little Group: Best in Public Relations for their work to bring a New York Times reporter to write a story about Midtown and other developing districts in Reno.

International Game Technology: Best Rebrand for rejuvenation of the company’s 30-year-old brand.

High Fives Foundation: Best Video for a campaign, #helmetsarecool, to increase helmet use in gravity-defying sports.

Girlmade: Best Cause-Related Marketing for its business-accelerator program that targets girls and women.

TEDxUniversityNevada: Best Event-Related Marketing for promotion of its 2014 event.

Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology: Best in Direct Marketing for its e-mail strategy.

Biggest Little City: Best in Integrated Marketing for its campaign to build community pride.
