A western barbeque was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Krebs-Peterson mansion which was featured in the 1976 John Wayne film ‘The Shootist.’ Below the front of the Krebs-Peterson mansion is shown. ‘The Shootist’ was John Wayne’s last movie and among others who starred in the picture included Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, Jimmy Stewart, Hugh O’Brien and Richard Boone. Among other areas displayed in the movie was Washoe Lake State Park.
