Floyd Douglas Calkins

Floyd Douglas Calkins,54, passed away May 24, 2014 in Carson City, NV. Floyd was born April 2, 1960 in Camden, New Jersey to Edgar and Vonda Calkins, one of nine children. He owned and operated South Shore Spas in South Lake Tahoe, CA since 1989. Floyd enjoyed riding quads, RVing, camping and hiking. He always made time to smoke a good cigar with his many good friends.Floyd was preceded in death by his parents , two sisters and one brother. He will be dearly missed by his wife of thirty-five years, Theresa and his two daughters, Colleen Kennard and son-in-law, Marc and Kelley Calkins. Three brothers, Edgar Raymond Jr., John Winslow and Joseph Patrick Calkins, and two sisters, Linda Sapp and Irma Calkins. One grandson, Colten Floyd Kennard and another one on the way. There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 3pm at Walton’s Chapel in Carson City.
