Dayton class donates quilts

Carol Goodfellow’s seventh grade accelerated math students at Dayton Intermediate School made two quilts for children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

The patterns were made by each student using geometric transformations. Students selected fabric, cut out the patterns and sewed them together. The squares were collected and given to LiAne McBroome, who produced the quilts five days later. Goodfellow will deliver the quilts this week.
