Carson City health inspections

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for June 5. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, 1870 S. Russell Way, scored 100 points.

Buffalo Wild Wings, 3815 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St., 100 points.

Carson City Toyota, 2590 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Comstock Country RV Resort, 5400 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Francisco’s Carson City, 1200 Stewart St., 100 points.

Gold Dust West, Ole Ole, 2171 E. Highway 50, 100 points.

Rand Avenue Convenience Store, 1800 E. Highway 50, Suite 14, 100 points.

Sonda Foods, Inc., 5150 Convair Drive, 100 points.

Taco el Tio, 4637 Carter Ave., 100 points.

Arco am/pm, 2707 Highway 50, 99 points. The wall behind the three-compartment sink was rough and difficult to keep clean.

Applebee’s, bar and lounge, 3300 S. Carson St., 98 points. Liquid pooled in the bottom of the beer cooler. The floor sinks throughout the bar were dirty with biofilm buildup.

Carson Horseshoe club, Bar 2, 402 N. Carson St., 98 points. A speed gun was found with biofilm buildup.

Applebee’s, restaurant, 3300 S. Carson St., 97 points. The main ice machine was dirty with biofilm buildup. The wall and drain board contact to the left of the dishwasher needed to be cleaned and re-caulked.

Eagle Gas, 1360 S. Carson St., 97 points. Written inventory of microwavable products was missing. Some microwavable foods were not labeled with expiration date. A microwave’s turn table was cracked.

Taqueria la Salsa, 1946 E. Highway 50, 97 points. There was no certified food handler on duty.

Carson Horseshoe Club, Bar 1, 402 N. Carson St., 96 points. The reach-in refrigerator underneath the counter containing potentially hazardous foods was found at 46 degrees. A speed gun had biofilm buildup.

Country Store, 3389 E. Highway 50, 89 points. There were fresh rodent droppings in the rear, right corner of the soda storage room. Bags of ice packaged on site for sale were not properly labeled with name, address and phone number of the facility. The customer sandwich reach-in held an ambient temperature of 45 degrees, along with the outsides of the packaged sandwiches.

There was no visible thermometer inside or outside of the walk-in, repeat violation. There were areas of dust accumulation in the fan guards inside the walk-in. The main ice machine was dirty inside with biofilm buildup. There was inadequate weather stripping on the rear door of the facility near the walk-in.
