Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for June 5. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Carson City Municipal Golf Course, bar and lounge, 3999 Centennial Park Dr., scored 100 pts.

Carson City Public Safety Complex, inmate kitchen, 885 E. Musser St., scored 100 points.

Country Store, 3389 E. Highway 50, scored 100 pts.

Food For Thought, 3256 N. Carson St., Suite 118, scored 100 pts.

Galaxy Fandango 10, 4000 S. Curry St., scored 96 pts. There was biofilm buildup inside the main ice machines around the ice chutes. Two hand sinks were inoperable at the front snack service counter. All food debris was not being removed from underneath the theater stages on a daily basis. Old rodent droppings were on floors in the stock rooms, including off of the employee break room and the upstairs liquor walk-in room. There were piles of cardboard and unnecessary items in the same storage rooms.

Save Mart Supermarkets, deli, 3620 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Tip Top Amusements, 1990 S. Roop St., scored 100 pts.

Walgreens, 1465 E. William St., scored 100 pts.

Red Hut Cafe, 4385 S. Carson St., scored 96 pts. Raw beef was stored next to bagged lettuce in the reach-in refrigerator near the grill line. Raw meat products were stored above bread in the reach-in freezer. Sanitizer test strips were not present. Wiping cloths were found without a measurable sanitizer residual.

Bully’s, 3530 N. Carson St., scored 95 pts. Cut vegetables were not held at 41 degrees in the reach-in drawers under the grills and hood. There was no measurable sanitizer residual in the cloth storage bucket near the grill line, corrected on site. Both ice machines needed cleaning to remove biofilm.

Bella Fiore Wines, 224 S. Carson St., scored 94 pts. The low temperature dishwasher had no chlorine residual in the final rinse. The ice machine had biofilm on its inside walls.

Denny’s, 2299 N. Carson St., scored 94 points. Sliced tomatoes and other products had an internal temperature of 59-60 degrees with two days until the expiration of their use-by dates. Monitoring logs for these units showed proper temperatures; the concern was the lengthy defrost cycle and shorter use-by dates. The grease receptor was overloaded with grease around the opening. The lids were open and not covering the grease receptor or the dumpster.
