The Nevada Association of Court Executives has awarded the Supreme Court of Nevada, Administrative Office of the Courts in Carson City, with a Star Award for excellence in providing court information and services to the public.

The Supreme Court AOC was recognized for developing a mobile application for iPhone and Android devices and for its new website, available at http:// supreme.nvcourts.gov.

“The Star Award not only recognizes bench performance, but also the hard work that goes on outside the courtroom that keeps a court operating efficiently,” stated Steve Tuttle, President of NACE. “Over the past year, the Supreme Court AOC has completed several large projects that have enhanced judicial services throughout the State of Nevada.”

In 2013, the Supreme Court AOC redesigned its website and made it easier to navigate and developed a mobile application that allows users to view case information, decisions, and calendars as well as listen to oral argument recordings from their iPhones and Android devices.

In addition, NACE recognized the Supreme Court AOC for creating several statewide committees that facilitate information exchange and encourage process standardization throughout the state’s trial courts.

The Star Award also recognized the Supreme Court AOC for introducing a statewide case management system that tracks specialty court cases.
