Area families selected to host Italian students

World Heritage Student Exchange Programs qualified two families to host Italian exchange students this fall.

The Singer family of Dayton is set to host Elena, who will attend Dayton High School in the upcoming school year.

The Blanchette family of Douglas County was qualified to host Filippo, who will attend Douglas High School in the upcoming school year.

World Heritage Student Exchange Programs is a nonprofit dedicated to fostering cultural enrichment and intercultural understanding through youth exchange programs. It provides students from Europe, Asia and the Americas the opportunity to spend an exchange experience in the United States.

Elena and Filippo are set to arrive in August.
