The Carson Nugget appears to be in process of being sold to M1 Gaming of Reno.
A call to the Nugget asking for confirmation of the sale was not returned, but the general manager of the casino was identified as Dean DiLullo, who is chief executive officer of M1 Gaming.
The Nugget last year celebrated its 60th year in business, making it Carson City’s oldest continuously operated casino.
The Nugget was opened in 1953 by Richard Graves who also opened the Sparks Nugget with John Ascuaga. Hop and Howard Adams bought the casino in the mid-1950s. Since the deaths of Hop and Howard, the property has been operated by a trust set up by Howard’s son Alan and Hop’s wife Mae — the Mae B. Adams Trust.
The Nugget property consists of 30,000 square feet of space and includes slots, table games, poker and bingo rooms, two restaurants, two cafés, meeting space and an 81-room hotel.
