LVH casino in Las Vegas reaches deal with union

LAS VEGAS — Two unions have agreed on a five-year contract with the LVH casino, formerly the Las Vegas Hilton.

The Culinary and bartenders unions announced the deal Wednesday. The previous contract expired last June.

The unions previously agreed on new contracts with MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Workers remain in negotiations with 11 independent casinos, mostly in downtown, including the Golden Nugget, the D, and El Cortez.

Members of the Culinary Union, the largest union in Las Vegas, plan to vote later this month on whether to authorize negotiators to call a strike.
