2 expected to die after crash at Fairview and Roop

Two people on a motorcycle that slammed into a truck late Saturday are unlikely to survive the crash, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Also according to Furlong:

Deputies tried to chase the motorcycle three times Saturday after the driver was spotted speeding on Fifth Street. Each time, the driver sped away at a high rate of speed. The third time, he T-boned the truck at Fairview Drive and Roop Street about 10:40 p.m..

Sections of each road remained closed at 11:50 p.m.

“We have multiple helicopters on scene,” Furlong said. “Quite the mess.”
