The passenger on a motorcycle that crashed into a pickup Saturday night has died of her injuries, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The woman, 21-year-old Audrey G. Rugamas of South Lake Tahoe, and motorcycle driver Andrey L. Gallegos of Sparks were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center after the high-speed crash at Fairview Drive and Roop Street. Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong has said Gallegos, 20, was spotted speeding multiple times Saturday night.
The driver of the pickup, Donald McKean of Gardnerville, was not hurt. Trooper Chris Kelly of the NHP Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating. Anyone with video or information is asked to call NHP at 775-689-4661.
