Bill Pappas, the Greek slasher, is back in Nye County Jail where he is to be held until Monday when Judge Averill will pass sentence. The penalty for his crime against the women he has attacked is from one to 10 years.

Gov. E.P. Carville will be unable to attend the Governor’s Day ceremonies at the University of Nevada as the governor is taking an additional week of rest at the hospital. It is said he is much improved.
