Early voting wraps up today in Carson City

Today is the final day of early voting and the Carson City Clerk/Recorder’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

More than 6,500 Carson residents had cast ballots. Another 1,026 had voted absentee.

An average of more than 600 voters have gone to the polls each day with Monday, Oct. 20, the second day of voting, drawing the most voters at 857. The slowest day was Saturday, Oct. 25 when only 417 voted.

After today, voters will have to wait until Tuesday to cast ballots in the 2014 General Election. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Community Center election day.
