Woman killed by vehicle in Fernley
A woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday in Fernley, Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m. on State Routh 427 (main street) just north of Love’s Truck Stop. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
NHP is investigating the accident while the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death. The name of the woman is not being released pending further investigation and family notification.
