Like Job, we can hear and see God

Bible thought: “My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you.” — Job 42:5.

I can’t tell you how many times I have read the Book of Job. As a matter of fact, I just finished it once again. I think this time I have gotten more out of it than ever before. Like Job said in the verse above, I have read and heard the story, but now my eyes have seen God!

I have seen God’s faith in Job. He believed Job would endure trials and temptation! So, when I go through difficult times, could it be because God trusts me to be able to handle it?

Like Job, I’m starting to understand it’s only through trials and pain, depression and insult, I can really see and appreciate God and come out better because of it!

“Oh, I have heard, but now I see!

God whispers to us in our pleasures,

Speaks in our conscience,

But shouts in our pains:

It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
