The attack upon the candidate for District Judge, Hon. S. H. Wright, is untrue. After the expiration of his term, he did go to work, travel and seek earnest means to support is wife and 10 children. It is falsehood that he has ever voted anything but a straight Republican ticket. He will be elected — Sutro’s Virginia vehicle to the contrary notwithstanding.

Born. In Reno at Washoe hospital, Sept. 28, 1944, to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Muller of Carson City, a son, Kenneth. The child is a second son and the paternal grandmother is Mrs. Honora Muller of Carson.

The site of the new Union Federal Savings and Loan Association building now stands where a historic old mansion once stood. It was the J. Neely Johnson House. Johnson was the ex-California of Governor. Mark Twain once described the house as “having thick carpets, expensive upholstered furniture, and a roaring fire in the fireplace.” Union Federal Savings and Loan Association had to remove the house in August of 1963 in order to build their new office building. Dr. James Thom purchased the home in 1930 and established his office there.
