Carson City road report for April 6-12

The following information applies to the period of April 6-12.

Due to an ongoing water main project, there will be extensive paving work being completed as follows:

Monday and Tuesday, Saliman Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Robinson Street to the entrance of Mills Park.

Tuesday, Roop Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction and Washington Street will be closed from Roop Street to the library entrance.

Wednesday through Friday will see paving in Mills Park and in the Carson Aquatic Facility parking lot. The aquatic facility will be closed on Wednesday.

Friday and Saturday, Oxoby Loop, the entrance to Mills Park and the Carson City Community Center from William Street, will be closed.

Due to events at the State Legislature, E. Fifth Street will be closed between Carson and Stewart streets from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 8.

The Carson City Landfill is upgrading the approaches to the scales at its entrance. All weighing of both inbound and outbound traffic will be done on one scale. Motorists are advised to use caution when entering and expect some delay.

The following sidewalk closures will be in place for the entire week:

The north side of Musser Street between Division and Minnesota streets.

The east side of Minnesota Street between Musser and Proctor streets.
