Cutting Edge: New Carson City salon offers high-end experience

Cutting Edge, a new salon in Carson City, offers patrons a lavish and convenient experience, says the owners.

Resa Young, co-owner of Cutting Edge, said the appeal of the salon is it has a high-end feel without the high-end prices.

“People should come to our salon because we have extensive knowledge about the products that we sell and we have years of experience,” Young said.

Young and her co-owner Michael Ritchins opened Cutting Edge to allow their stylists to express their creativity in the salon.

“We wanted to get away from corporate salons and do new things,” Ritchins said. “We wanted to do new and creative styles.”

The Cutting Edge, located next to Raley’s on Carson Street, has been open of a little under a month and offers a full-service for patrons of any age.

“Our customers tell us that they love the new atmosphere and they like (our) teamwork,” Young said about working with Michael.

“We have been getting really good reviews.”

Cutting Edge offers haircuts for children, adults and seniors for $15 or less.
