Ex-GOP aide behind website critical of Republican lawmakers

A Nevada Assembly Republican’s former aide is behind a group that’s slamming fellow party members over their positions on hot-button issues.

Conservative Las Vegas activist Laurel Fee heads “The Voice of Nevada” political action committee and created a website last week criticizing other Nevada Republicans over votes on issues including taxes and the Common Core education standards.

Fee previously worked for Republican Assemblyman Brent Jones but left about a month ago, according to Jones’s chief of staff Jeremy Edgel.

The website accuses Republican Assembly leaders including Speaker John Hambrick and assemblymen Paul Anderson and Derek Armstrong of flipping their positions on taxes.

Fee said Jones stopped working on the PAC in February, and she submitted paperwork to the secretary of state’s office Tuesday to remove Jones’ name from PAC documents.
