The 19th annual Reno Gay Pride Festival is set for August 15 at Wingfield Park along the Truckee River.
A spokesman said this year’s festival is an opportunity to delebrate the landmark Supreme Court ruling establishing marriage equality nationwide.
“This will be an unforgettable and historic event celebrating marriage equality and civil rights,” said spokesman Kevin Ray. “Whether you’re part of the LGBT community or support equal marriage, this is a celebration designed for everyone.”
The festivaql will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with shopping, vendors, food and a beer garden sponsored by Harrah’s Reno Hotel/Casino. Tickets are $5.
