Carson City road report for Dec. 7-13

The following information applies to the period of Dec. 7-13.

NDOT will continue work on the construction of an auxiliary lane on southbound I-580 from the Eastlake Boulevard interchange to the N. Carson Street off-ramp. There will be lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday. In addition, the Eastlake/Hobart southbound on-ramp will be closed during these times, and detours will be signed.

Utility work will continue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays at the following locations, with possible flagger controlled traffic:

Division Street between John and Long streets

Mountain Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street; road will be closed Monday

Fleischmann Way between Mountain and Division streets

Long Street between Mountain and Division streets

Sierra Circle, Hillside Way, Miller Way, Pine View Way, and Lane Circle

The following closures will occur with signed detours due to the construction of the East/West Water Transmission Project:

Washington Street will be closed to traffic between Stewart and Plaza streets Monday through Wednesday

Washington Street will be closed to traffic between Carson and Plaza streets Wednesday through Friday

Stewart Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between William and Robinson streets Monday

Carson Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between William and Robinson streets Monday

On Monday, Dec. 7, there will be a lane closure on Oregon Street with flagger controlled traffic between Roop Street and Wright Way as work continues at the NDOT maintenance yard.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 7, through Wednesday, Dec. 9, there will be a lane closure with flaggers on Hillview Drive between Clearview Drive and Appion Way from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be lane closures due to utility work beginning Monday, Dec. 7, through Friday, Dec. 11, at the following locations:

Jefferson Drive between Madison Drive and Faraday Circle

Panamint Road just north of Knoblock Road

Stampede Drive just east of Gregg Street

Fleetwood Avenue between Cornet and Cardinal ways

The intersection of Newman Place and Maison Way

Comstock Circle

Hytech Drive just north of Arrowhead Drive

Clearview Drive just west of Hillview Drive

Race Track Road will be closed to through traffic between Bigelow and Schulz drives for the week.

There will be utility work at the following locations:

The north shoulder of Snyder Avenue between Oak Street and Bigelow Drive

Shoulders on Mountain Street between Washington and King streets

Morgan Mill Road between Empire Ranch and Deer Run roads on Tuesday

The north shoulder of Clearview Drive near the intersection of Ponderosa Drive Wednesday through Friday

Telegraph Road will be closed between Curry and Nevada streets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, due to an event. In addition, the following road closures will occur 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 13, due to an event:

Division Street between King and Proctor streets

Minnesota Street between King and Proctor streets

Musser Street, Proctor Street, and King Street between Division and Minnesota streets
