Carson City Health Inspections for Jan. 29

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 29. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Carson Station, sports bar and main bar, 900 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Glen Eagles, 3700 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Raley’s, bakery, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Raley’s, grocery, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Raley’s, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Raley’s, produce department, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Smoke Shop, 1953 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Subway, 100 W. Winnie Lane, scored 100 points.

Vicky Ice Cream, mobile ice food vehicle, scored 100 points.

Raley’s, meat department, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 99 points. Coving in the coolers needed to be repaired. All surfaces were not free of cracks and so were not easily cleanable. Walls and floors in the ice cream freezer needed to be cleaned and sanitized.

Raley’s, deli, 3701 S. Carson St., scored 95 points. An employee wiped his or her hands on an apron before serving customers and handling meat products.

Carson Station, snack bar, 900 S. Carson St., scored 92 points. Grease in the fryer was unfit for cooking; pieces of food were found in the oil and on equipment surfaces. There was a buildup of biofilm in the ice machines. Oven trays were covered in grease, and the oven needed cleaning. The ice scoop was not stored properly. The flour container and floors in the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer needed to be cleaned. Rotting food was found on racks in the produce cooler and on the floor. Walls behind the fryer and grill needed to be cleaned.
