Construction underway on Kirkwood development

Second-home buyers are the target customers for 21 new ski-in, ski-out townhomes now being built in the heart of Timber Creek Village in Kirkwood.

Developer Kirkwood Mountain Realty is the company behind the $16 million project, which is now underway and expected to be completed next month.

Located on the corner of Kirkwood Meadows Drive and Sentinel Way, the development is called Timber Creek Townhomes.

According to the developer, the project will showcase sustainable design with smart home technology and modern home features.

“Timber Creek represents our renewed focus on modern design, materials, technology, environmental and sustainable materials and cost effective ownership,” said Peter Forsch, CEO of Kirkwood Resort Development, the parent organization for Kirkwood Mountain Realty.

“The investment made in this authentic Sierra community truly comes at a value for the discerning second-home buyer.”

With prices starting in the high $800.000s, the developer projects an excess of $20 million in future sales.

According to the developer, owners will enjoy easy access to the high-speed lifts of Vail Resorts’ Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

The Timber Creek’s design uses materials and systems that reduce maintenance and impact on the environment. The townhomes are designed to reduce energy leveraging natural light, shading and passive heating and cooling.

Every Timber Creek home will be equipped with a smart technology system that allows the owner to control and monitor heating, lighting, smoke and fire alarms/alerts, appliances, entry, security and video cameras directly from a smart phone or computer.
