Even when Republicans win, they lose

Regarding the trillion-plus-dollar spending bill, I am really skeptical about the timing and the speed in which this bill was passed. I don’t remember any debate from either side. I guess that they had to pass the bill to know what was in it — sound familiar?

One would think that the Republican landslide victory would have given them a shot of courage.

My take on this is that they had to get this bill passed before the new Congress took over. A lot of newly-elected Tea Party members will take office with the intent to stop Obama’s agenda. My guess is that there is plenty of “pork” in the bill, and it would not pass the smell test.

The honorable thing to do would have been to pass a short-term continuing resolution and let the new Congress handle it.

There are three things that the ruling class of both parties can agree upon. First is the “pork.” Second is the destruction of the Tea Party. And third is open borders.

Even when the Republicans win, they lose. They just can’t help themselves.
