RSVP is seeking a data entry volunteer to join its Carson City team. Individual who have a strong background in working with Excel spreadsheets and databases are sought. This person will be given important assignments that require attention to detail. He or she must be able to meet deadlines. Contact Lauren Jones at 775-687-4680, ext. 6.

The Legislative Council Bureau is looking for volunteer docents. Call if you are interested in providing tours educating students about the Legislative process. Training is provided.

Pets of the Homeless in Carson City is seeking a volunteer with professional phone skills and computer experience. This opportunity involves conversing with Pets of the Homeless volunteers across the U.S.

USDA is partnering with Friends in Service Helping to offer food distribution to low-income individuals and families every other month in the Carson area. The next distribution will be from 9 to 11 a.m. March 20 at the Carson City Community Center. Volunteers are needed from 8 to 11 a.m. the third Friday of every other month to help with sign-ups and food distribution.

All volunteers receive orientation and training. Also, volunteers can receive out-of-pocket expenses such as mileage reimbursement and are covered by several insurances.
