Three wounded in Lovelock Prison fight

Three inmates suffered minor wounds when two of them refused to stop fighting in the yard at Lovelock Correctional Center.

According to prison officials, both ignored verbal commands to stop fighting and even ignored when guards fired a blank round in their direction.

So guards fired shotgun rounds in their direction, which they also ignored.

Officers separated the two, who were treated for minor pellet wounds. A third inmate not involved in the fight also was hit and treated.

No names were released.
