Carson City’s Silver State presenting ‘Millie’

Silver State Charter Schools is excited to announce its production run of “Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr.,” which began Friday and runs through June 13 in the Performing Arts Center at Silver State Charter Schools.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.” based on the zany new musical that has taken Broadway by storm, is the high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston. In New York City in 1922, young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz — in a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.” will run today, June 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and June 13 at 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Silver State Charter Schools located at 900 Mallory Way in Carson City. Tickets are $10 at the door.
