Contractors cited

The Nevada State Contractors Board has cited several northern Nevada contractors for violations.

G Built Construction, LLC, of Sparks: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to take appropriate corrective action, acting beyond the scope of the license, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, failure to pay any money due for any materials or services rendered, failure to establish financial responsibility. Its license was revoked and fined $2,350 and assessed investigative costs.

Imtiaz Ahmed, doing business as Lobo Roofing, of Reno: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to include the monetary license limit or license number on a contract or proposal, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, and commencing work on a project without obtaining the necessary building permits. Ahmad was fined $2,500 and assessed investigative costs. Failure to pay in time allotted results in license being suspended.

Sierra Construction & Development, LLC, doing business as S C D Framing of Sparks: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to take appropriate corrective action, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, failure to pay for materials or services, lending the license to an unauthorized individual who is not on the license, failure to prosecute a construction project or operation thereby causing material injury to another, diversion of funds, and failure to establish financial responsibility. Its license was revoked and fined $10,150 and assessed investigative costs.

Sierra Development of Sparks: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to take appropriate corrective action, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, failure to pay for materials or services, lending the license to an unauthorized individual who is not on the license, and failure to establish financial responsibility. Its license was revoked, fined $7,600 and assessed investigative costs.

Knighton Construction, LLC of Sparks: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to complete a construction project in accordance with the plans and specifications, failure to complete a construction project or operation for the price stated in the contract, and failure to establish financial responsibility. Its license was revoked, was fined $2,000 and assessed investigative costs.

Millhouse Repair, LLC of Spring Creek: was cited for acting beyond the scope of the license, failure to include the Residential Recovery Fund information on a contract or proposal, failure to notify the Board of a change in personnel or address within 30 days, failure to include the monetary license limit or license number on a contract or proposal, failure to keep in force a bond or cash deposit, and failure to establish financial responsibility. The licenses were revoked, was fined $2,450 and assessed investigative costs.

Jordan River Construction, Inc. of Spring Creek, Nev.: was cited for substandard workmanship, failure to take appropriate corrective action, willful disregard of the building laws of the state, committing a fraudulent or deceitful act, failure to respond to a written request from the Board, failure to prosecute a construction project or operation thereby causing material injury to another, diversion of funds, acting beyond the scope of the license, advising construction projects beyond the scope of the license, and failure to establish financial responsibility. The license was revoked, was fined $16,000 and assessed investigative costs.
