Carson City man arrested for burglary of Capital Baptist Church

A 36-year old man was taken into custody after Carson City Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Special Enforcement Team executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence in the 200 block of Gold Leaf Lane in Carson City.

Dwayne Snyder was arrested on suspicion of burglary reported Feb. 4 at Capital Baptist Church, 4550 S. Edmonds Drive.

When detectives arrived to the Gold Leaf Lane residence, Snyder, a registered sex offender, was using a laptop that was allegedly stolen from the church, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office press release.

Stolen property from the church was recovered at the Gold Leaf Lane address and at another site in Carson City.

Snyder was charged with burglary and possession of stolen property.
