Goal seems to be destruction of economies

In the Commentary column of April 1, the writer quoted Naomi Klein regarding man-made global warming. Here are some other quotes from Klein:

Feb. 11, 2015: Goal of carbon divestment campaign is to nationalize companies ...

Feb. 3, 2015: “There is still time to avoid catastrophic warming but not within the rules of capitalism as they are currently constructed.”

Oct. 9, 2014: “Climate activists have to get comfortable attacking capitalism.”

Sept. 18, 2014: “Capitalism is irreconcilable with a livable climate. Facing climate change head-on means changing capitalism.”

She sounds rather like Christiana Figueres, the United Nation’s chief climate change official who said that her unelected bureaucrats are undertaking “probably the most difficult task” they have ever given themselves, “which is to intentionally transform the (global) economic development model ... this is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years — since the industrial revolution.”

The destruction of the economies of the USA and other prosperous western nations seems to be the goal of both women. Great collectivist minds think alike.
