Carson City’s Mildred Lyman, born on May 9, 1915, the middle of seven siblings, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday.

Lyman has three sisters — Lottie, Vera, Cathryn and Rita; and three brothers — Amilcar, Arnold and Arthur. She and her husband, Stan, whom she married on June 12, 1936, have three sons — Clifford, Paul and Stan.

Lyman was a stay at home mom and a homemaker. She loved to travel, and on trips she collected rocks to put in her garden at home.

All of her siblings, her husband and oldest son, Clifford, have passed away. Lyman’s remaining family members traveled from all over the country to celebrate her birthday.
