Appeal owes Carson City mothers an apology

On Mother’s Day, the front page of the Nevada Appeal featured an electric chair! It is obvious why people call this newspaper the “Appall!”

It does not matter that you were featuring the artifacts of the prison. Imagine how a mother must have felt if she had a son or daughter in prison and on Mother’s Day, the electric chair is what she saw first when she opened up the newspaper.

The tiny little “Happy Mother’s Day” notice up in the newspaper heading over the electric chair photo was so distasteful and disgraceful. You should be ashamed. You owe our Carson City mothers an apology.
