Croquet. A public croquet ground situated on the corner of Carson and Eighth streets is now open to the public.

Dashaway. The Dashaway Association of San Francisco have been stealing and lying for five years. They seem to have been guilty of about all the crimes, except drinking.

All sorts. Sarah Althea made a motion to her dress pocket as if she was going to draw a pistol. She alleged that a man smiled at her — a familiarity that she did not allow.

70 Years Ago

Carson High School “Chatters:” May 18 was proclaimed the traditional “C” Day. Carson High students dragged themselves up to the “C.” The underclassmen carried the white-wash up and cleared the weeds, and the seniors poured the whitewash on. There will be a dance following and students will be fined if they fail to wear the same clothes to the dance as they wore to the cleaning of the “C.”
